Profiles Page 7 - Turner, Lister, Charles, Osher

Dom Turner lives in Wedgies, which he rents for £2.50 a night. Every night it's the same routine - when the music starts he wanders downstairs, grumbling 'Whass all this noise?', then someone sticks a bottle and a fag in his hand, and it's downhill from there. Dom was once tipped for
the top, before he discovered booze and fags, but he still strolls into the UWE 1st XV whenever he can be arsed. He made the switch from back row to fly half with a great deal of success this season, where he used his all round skills to great effect. Made the 'Cunt of the season' award his own: after yet another try Manor asked if we would kick the ball off to them, so they coudl have a rare touch of it. So Dom looked up and kicked it to the corner flag, then slotted a drop goal. What a cunt.
Another recruit from the UWE 1st XV, Joe Lister is a hooker with a great deal of flair. He is never a man to shirk a night out, and is usualy to be found lurking some-where in Wedgies - as shown here, he likes a dance. Joe fluked his way to the top-tryscorer spot this season; he has a useful turn of pace which has served him well in his sparkling sevens career. He was essential in the set pieces, where his hooking and throwing in were top-class. By the way, Joe, you still owe me £4.
Aled Charles is a bloody great Welsh second row. Aled had a distinguished season for the Hands this year, and played a large part in our continual front-five dominance. He was instrumental in our main fight of the season, when he laughed at a medic, who subsequently started on Aled. The joke was on the medic in both senses - he got beaten up and then sent off. Pure Genius
Jonas Osher has played for the Hands since their inception in 1996. Jonas grew in stature over the course of the season, and was on fire by the time the finals came round. His darting runs make him as elusive on the pitch as he is off it - i.e. we can never get him to come to the pub. Jonas is a useful left winger, and as equal top-tryscorer, the 1999/2000 season was probably Jonas' best season for the Hands
