Sam Hawke is a fine upstanding member of society, and is a terminal nice guy (only in the Syvia-Plath we’re-all-dying sense, of course – no sinister bad taste jokes here, Mums and Dads!) – just the sort of chap any parents would love their daughter to bring home. Although the financial expense of widening their door-frames to enable his unusually large head to fit through would, no doubt, be rather less welcome. Famed for the mild fury of his team-talks, Sam likes making animal noises and swearing at children. When the wind is in the wrong direction, it is difficult to tell Sam Hawke from a handsaw. Sam’s hobbies include repeating himself as many times as he is asked to. Sam plays loose head prop.
